Champagne Dom Pérignon
P2 Vintage 2004

The Dom Pérignon Vintage 2004 Plénitude 2 is  intense, vibrant and precise. The exceptional feature of Vintages Dom Pérignon is their evolution, not based on a linear process, but on specific expressive steps. These periods are called Plénitudes, priviledged moments where the wines vibrates more intensely.

P2 is the name of Deuxième Plénitude by Dom Pérignon, the result of 16 years of development. The energy reaches its peak. Thanks to its dark notes, mineral, spicy and iodized, the uniqueness of Dom Pérignon is clearer and more intense than ever.

Part of the bottles of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2004 rests on its yeasts in the cave, with cork cap (bouchon liège), for 13 years, 8 years longer than the classical Vintage Dom Pérignon

The 2004 vintage will mark the history of Champagne Dom Pérignon for its richness and generosity. While the weather was predicted to be mild, allowing the vines to develop regularly and without anomalies, it was the dry heat of latest summer weeks that determined the character of the vintage. Harvesting began on 24 September, and ripeness and health conditions were excellent.

The Champagne Dom Pérignon Vintage 2004 Plénitude 2 reveals delicate aromas of pink grapefruit and blood orange on the nose, leaving room for fig on the finish. The ageing of the wine on the lees sublimates the minerality of the vintage into a glorious maturity, emblematic of Dom Pérignon: cocoa, mocha, toasted notes, brioche and honey. On the palate, a game of balances, the wine evolves between tension and lightness. An extreme precision, tactile, mysterious and chiselled. An elegant character that persists on a powerful, liquorice note.

Champagne Dom Pérignon

Dom Pérignon has had a priviledge position in the field of Champagne since it was born in 1936. Its origins are older because Dom Pérignon is part of Moët & Chandon (founded in 1743). While Moët & Chandon is involved in a good quality and large quantity Champagne production, Dom Pérignon focuses on absolute quality. Its long experience over centuries is used to produce a top quality Champagne, we all know well. Dom Pérignon is avibrant tribute to Dom Pierre Pérignon, spiritual father of Champagne. It is a miracle of assemblage and refinance with a misterious harmony, which is always new, the perfect meeting between the two classical variety Dom Pérignon, namely Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Since 1990 Richard Geoffroy has been Chef de Cave and father of the Vintages Dom Pérignon and the one embodying the spirit of Dom Pierre PérignonDom Pérignon only creates Vintage Champagnes, from the best selected grapes from a single year of vintage. It never ends its innovating experience and always offers the best of the vintage. It refuses compromises and does not produce its Vintages when the vintage is not at its best- After a 8-year vinification, the wine reaches a perfect balance, the most beautiful product of the Maison: this is Dom Pérignon VintageP2 is Deuxième Plénitude by Dom Pérignon, the result of a 16-year process of elaboration. All assemblage ingredients are well mixed and grant the Vintage a stronger intensity, liveliness and precision: Champagne energy at its best! P3 is Troisième Plénitude by Dom Pérignon, the result of a 25-year process of elaboration. The Champagne gains an even more essential structure, enriched by a slow and deep integration. This is a sublime wine, more complex than ever. The Troisième Plénitude is Dom Pérignon's soul.
