Place on a hill in Polisot village, in the southern part of Champagne and more precisely in the Côte des Bar, a popular area for its Pinot Noir; Domaine Marie Courtin, counts only 2.5 hectares with a total production of no more than 20,000 bottles. The family-run property is led by Dominique Moreau, a daring and eccentric winemaker who dedicated the brand to her grandmother Marie Courtin and who runs the estate with deep respect for the environment and the vineyard.
The viticultural and oenological processes follow the principles of organic farming combined with biodynamic practices, including the pendulum use to check the progress of ripening and fermentation. In the winery are favoured fermentation with natural indigenous yeasts, selected directly from their vineyards and cultivated separately.
The vineyards, which benefit from the combination of Kimmeridgian soil and east/south-east exposure, give to Champagne Marie Courtin an excellent structure with an intense flavour and minerality. These Champagnes are not dosed after disgorgement, they are essential and ideal for true connoisseurs.
