Champagne Clandestin is a new joint project between Bertrand Gautherot of Vouette & Sorbée and his right arm, the young and energetic Burgundian Benoît Doussot. Needless to say, both Bertrand and Benoît have a lot of experience with Pinot Noir. Clandestin means clandestine, hidden or secret and refers to the source of these Champagnes: parcels of Pinot Noir from cooler, westward oriented vineyards located on Kimmeridgian lands.
