Demière Ansiot

In the commune of Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, stands the Domaine Demière Ansiot, a family-run estate cultivating 8.5 hectares of vineyards classified Grand Cru. Winemakers for four generations, today the property is run by Nicolas Demière who, together with his family, manages all stages independently, from production and harvesting to the sale of the cuvées. The vineyards are 100% Chardonnay grapes, they are over 40 years old and 40% of them have a south-eastern exposure, thus benefiting from more sunlight, which allows the grapes to ripen optimally. 

Demière Ansiot Champagnes stay on the lees for three years minimum, they are disgorged à la volée and vinified without malolactic fermentation. The subsoil, made up of pure belemnite, gives to Champagne high acidity and minerality which, after long ageing on the lees, are transformed into fine elegance and complexity. Production is around 30,000 bottles.
