On the Montgueux hill, 10 km far from Troyes, in the Aube, stands the Domaine Beaugrand, owned by the Beaugrand for six generations and now run by the family including Hélène Beaugrand, winemaker, and her brother Arnaud. The Beaugrand have had a fundamental role in Montgueux: after the First World War they were the first to replant their vineyards destroyed by bombing, and the road dedicated to Léon Beaugrand is the thanks of the community for having defended the achievement of the Champagne appellation in 1927 for the village.
