Pascal Doquet has its roots in Vertus, a Premier Cru village located at the southern tip of the Côte des Blancs. The Doquet family represents the fourth generation dedicated to vine growing and Champagne production. The turning point came when Pascal’s grandfather acquired an abandoned ageing cellar, enabling the development of an independent production with a strong territorial identity.
The vineyards, now managed by Pascal and Laure Doquet, cover around 15 hectares, largely classified as Premier Cru and Grand Cru. Here, Chardonnay dominates the chalk and sandy soils, yielding grapes of remarkable finesse and mineral tension. Small plots of Pinot Noir and Meunier complete the mosaic, adding nuances that enhance the depth and expressiveness of the cuvées.
Since 2006, Pascal Doquet has pursued a radical path based on biodynamics and a deep respect for biodiversity. In the vineyard, spontaneous grassing, manual work and natural treatments are employed, while in the cellar spontaneous fermentations and long ageing on the lees are favoured. The result is pure, intense and harmonious Champagnes, capable of authentically expressing the dual soul of elegance and power.
