Pinot-Chevauchet

Pinot-Chevauchet is a family of vignerons based in the village of Moussy for 4 generations. Their annual production is around 30,000 bottles made by the exclusive vinification of grapes from the family vineyards, for a total of 4 hectares of vineyards divided into 27 parcels - on clay-calacareous terroir - distributed in the municipalities of Moussy and Pierry (Premier Cru), in the heart of Côteaux Sud d'Epernay (Vallée de la Marne). 

The spirit of the producer is soon explained in the continuous search for excellence and respect for the environment. Excellence is pursued through specific choices such as encouraging long periods of aging in the bottle (minimum 5 years) and the use of low doses of sulfur dioxide. In the vineyard, "green" techniques respectful of environmental integrity are favoured, no chemical product is used, but only biological elements. The production has been awarded with the HVE (Haute Valeur Enviromental) and Viticolture Durable en Champagne certifications.
