Description

Champagne Marie Courtin
Résonance

The Champagne Résonance by Marie Courtin is a Blanc de Noirs made from 100% Pinot Noir, sourced from vineyards in the village of Polisot, in the Côte des Bar. The vines were planted using the practice of massal selection, a technique that preserves the intra-varietal genetic diversity of the plants and ensures grapes of the highest quality, maintaining the vineyard’s distinctive traits and its deep connection to the terroir.

Vinification takes place in stainless-steel vats, with the aim of preserving integrity and purity of expression. After tirage, the wine is aged for a minimum of 30 months on the lees before disgorgement. The style is defined by a dosage kept within Extra Brut parameters, reflecting the essential and precise vision of vigneronne Dominique Moreau.

On the palate, Résonance fully embodies the spirit of the Côte des Bar: the Kimmeridgian soils impart a vibrant structure, intense salinity, and profound minerality. The Pinot Noir reveals a bouquet ranging from violets to crisp red fruits, with a spicy, pungent finish, rich in energy and tension—the unmistakable signature of Marie Courtin’s style.

Winery

Champagne Marie Courtin

Place on a hill in Polisot village, in the southern part of Champagne and more precisely in the Côte des Bar, a popular area for its Pinot Noir; Domaine Marie Courtin, counts only 2.5 hectares with a total production of no more than 20,000 bottles. The family-run property is led by Dominique Moreau, a daring and eccentric winemaker who dedicated the brand to her grandmother Marie Courtin and who runs the estate with deep respect for the environment and the vineyard.

The viticultural and oenological processes follow the principles of organic farming combined with biodynamic practices, including the pendulum use to check the progress of ripening and fermentation. In the winery are favoured fermentation with natural indigenous yeasts, selected directly from their vineyards and cultivated separately.

The vineyards, which benefit from the combination of Kimmeridgian soil and east/south-east exposure, give to Champagne Marie Courtin an excellent structure with an intense flavour and minerality. These Champagnes are not dosed after disgorgement, they are essential and ideal for true connoisseurs.
