Clandestin

Champagne Clandestin was founded in 2016 and is currently managed by Benoît Doussot, originally from Burgundy, who created his Domaine in Landreville, in the Côte des Bar. The name “Clandestin” reflects his independent approach and the desire to highlight less conventional vineyards, often overlooked by more established producers. The Domaine represents a unique synthesis between two great French wine regions: Burgundy, with its depth and elegance, and Champagne, with the freshness and minerality characteristic of its terroirs.

The production at Clandestin is based on a principle of enological minimalism, avoiding unnecessary additions and favoring indigenous yeasts for fermentation. The grapes come mainly from Pinot Noir parcels located in cooler vineyards, facing west and rooted in Kimmeridgian soils, which provide minerality and the ability to fully express the natural freshness of the variety. All vineyards are Ecocert certified and cultivated according to strict standards, fully respecting sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural practices.

The cuvées from Clandestin stand out for elegance and complexity, faithfully expressing the grape variety and the origin terroir. The winery combines tradition and innovation, producing wines that are authentic, integral, and consistent with the philosophy of the Domaine. Each bottle tells the story of a Domaine that perfectly harmonizes the great regions of Burgundy and Champagne, offering wines that reflect quality, passion, and attention to detail.
