Champagne Copinet (Marie) is the fruit of several generations of winemakers: Marie Laure and her husband Alexandre, who currently manage the Domaine, both come from Champagne winemaking families and have inherited their viticultural knowledge and savoir faire.
The Domaine is located in Montgenost, in the Côte de Sézanne, and was founded in the 1970s by Jacques Copinet, father of Marie Laure.
There are 9 hectares of vineyards owned by the Domaine, distributed in the three areas Côte de Sézanne, Côte des Bar and Vallée de la Marne, and divided into the three typical grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier. The main role is reserved for the Chardonnay vineyard, which has an average of 30 years old and which allows the Domaine to get the richness of its fresh and fragrant Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs, which express the distinctive traits of the chalky terroir of the Côte de Sézanne.
The Domaine has been in conversion to organic farming since 2018 and Alexandre and Marie Laure, committed to environmental conservation, have adopted "sustainable" and natural viticulture methods: among the practices adopted, insecticides and herbicides have been eliminated, in association with ancestral practices to give the earth a more active life.
The Domaine has obtained the "Terra Vitis" certification, an official label that guarantees its ecological commitment.
In addition, Champagne Copinet (Marie) has been certified "Vegan" for its entire range, meaning that no animal substances are used for the processing of wines and for the packaging of bottles.
