J-M Sélèque

The story of Sélèque starts in 1965, when Henry Sélèque planted the first parcels with his step-father John Bagnost (President of the co-op Pierry). His passion for the vines led Richard, Henri and François' son to study and investigate enology and he later started to produce Champagne in 1974, increasing the annual production up to 50,000 in the 90s.


The third generation arrived in 2008, after Jean-Marc's period abroad: he joined the domaine and added his innovative and personal approach to develop Champagne. Nowadays the vineyards lie on a surface of 7.5 hectares over 7 villages in Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs: Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Vertus and Boursault. 

The vines are 60% Chardonnay, 30% Meunier and 10% Pinot Noir. The viticulture preserves the balance and values the biodiversity and the terroir, resulting in authentic Champagnes.
