Geoffroy

The origins of the Geoffroy family can be traced back to the 17th century: a generation of vignerons in Cumières, classifies as Premier Cru, in the heart of Vallée de la Marne. The brand Geoffroy was light only in the 50s, thanks to Roger Geoffroy and his wife Julienne. Today their son manages the company: Jean-Baptiste, considered one of the most cultivated vignerons in the Champagne region.

 In 2008 Jean-Baptiste Geoffroy and his wife Karine moved the cave from Cumières to Aÿ and they bought old pressing tools Coquart to ensure a softer pressing. The cave only welcomes local yeasts in a process of restyling, which leads to a low dosage and a larger range of Cuvées - able to represent the 45 different parcels. They are all vinified separately.
