In Nogent l'Abbesse in the Montagne de Reims the Domaine familial Laborde has been managed since 2018 by Delphine and her husband Pierre-Emmanuel. Delphine, the company's winemaker, is an agricultural engineer and oenologist and has built her professional experience over 12 years working for prestigious Champagne Maison, including Bollinger and Veuve Clicquot. Domaine Laborde has 5 hectares of vineyards with an average age of 30 years, with some parcels reaching up to 50 years old and with the new plantings resulting from mass selection.
The vineyards are planted mainly in Chardonnay (about 95%) with a small part in Pinot Noir and are located in 14 lieux-dits in Nogent l'Abbesse and 2 in the village of Berru. The first Champagnes, released on the market in March 2023, reveal a strong character and a distinct identity and are Delphine's interpretation of the clay-limestone terroir with appearances of chalk of Mont de Berru, where the Domaine is located. No chemical fertilizers, herbicides and insecticides are used in the vineyards and they are certified "Viticulture durable en Champagne" and "Haute valeur environnementale".
