Agrapart

The Agrapart domain is situated in Avize and the vineyards, around 9,75 hectares, are found mainly in Oger, Cramant, Oiry and Avize (all Grand Cru from the Côte des Blancs). This geographical situation, right in the heart of the Champagne region and in the villages classed Grand Cru, is exceptional, and the chalky soil, specific to the Côte des Blancs, allows the maison to work the Chardonnay grape variety, known especially for the freshness and finesse it brings to the wine.

Composed of 62 plots, of which certain are over 60 years old, the average age of the vines Agrapart is about 35 years. The most important wines age in oak barrels (around 600 lt.), whereas the supplest ones age in steel tanks. The malolactic fermentation is used to bring more stability, balance and wine development. The wines rest on their lees before they are tested and assembled into Cuvée.

 Bottles are stocked in caves with stable temperature (10°C) which ensures a slow fermentation, guarantee of quality and fineness of their bubbles. The assembles Cuvées are put into the market not before 4 years from the harvest and the vintage ones not before 6 years. Supporter of fragmented vinification, Agrapart tends to express identity, diversity and typical features of every soil.

From Cuvée Les 7 Crus, representing the vineyards ensemble, the maison sharpens its research with terroirs resulting from the diversity of Grands Crus. Mineral represents Avize and Craman, their limestone terroirs which express their mineral content at their best. Avizoise and Venus, two mono-cru champagnes, embody the diversity of Avize's soil diversity. Authentic and sincere wines, with their own personality. The maison is always concerned about bringing more dimension to their Champagnes.
