Champagne Rousseaux-Batteux
Blanc de Noirs
The Champagne Blanc de Noirs by Rousseaux-Batteux pays tribute to the Pinot Noir of the Montagne de Reims, giving voice to three historic Grand Cru villages, Verzenay, Verzy and Louvois, where this variety reaches remarkable expressive depth. The Domaine farms its vineyards according to the principles of sustainable viticulture, forgoing herbicides, insecticides and synthetic chemicals, in an approach that protects the vitality of the soil and seeks to convey the most authentic identity of the terroirs from which the wines come.
This edition, born from a balanced combination of the 2023 and 2024 harvests, is a Blanc de Noirs made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes, vinified and matured mainly in fût de chêne to enrich the texture of the wine without weighing it down. After tirage the wine ages for 24 months on the lees before dégorgement, while the final dosage of less than 3 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances the precision and natural tension of the variety.
On tasting, it reveals an incisive and refined profile, where fresh red fruit intertwines with candied citrus, light spicy notes and a firm mineral thread. On the palate it is straight and deep, supported by vibrant energy and a harmonious structure that unfolds with balance towards a long, luminous and highly persistent finish. Total production amounts to 7,896 bottles.
