The Champagne Les Vignes Goisses by Malot Villiere is an exclusive, vertical expression of Pinot Noir, taking shape from the eponymous lieu-dit in the prestigious Grand Cru of Verzy, on the eastern slope of the Montagne de Reims. From vines in organic conversion tended with dedication by Cindy Malot and Florian Villiere, this Blanc de Noirs holds all the power and elegance of the variety, the fruit of a concrete commitment to environmentally respectful farming practices capable of enhancing the identity of the terroir.
This edition, Vintage 2022, is born from meticulous work in the cellar, with a vinification and maturation in ovoid tanks of 950 litres in natural concrete, able to ensure a gentle, constant micro-oxygenation that guides the wine towards a progressive complexity and an ever more defined finesse. The final dosage of 1,8 g/l, in Extra Brut style, completes the picture with measure and elegance, leaving fully intact the intensity, tension and freshness that define its character.
On tasting, Les Vignes Goisses 2022 shows itself vibrant and luminous, with an aromatic range interweaving small red fruits, fresh citrus and delicate floral notes, enriched by a spicy touch and a mineral undertone that recalls the chalk of the terroir. It strikes for its drive and precision, with a juicy, well-defined substance supported by a clear acidity and a pronounced salinity, which lead towards a long, taut finish of great energy.
