The Champagne Spécial Club Réserve 2004 by Gaston Chiquet represents one of the rarest and most mature interpretations of the Domaine, born from a great vintage and released in extremely limited quantities. Part of the prestigious Club Trésors de Champagne selection, this cuvée expresses the depth of the Vallée de la Marne through an authoritative, elegant and fully evolved style, combining the memory of time, territorial precision and great expressive finesse.
This edition, Millésime 2004, comes from an assemblage of 70% Pinot Noir grapes and 30% Chardonnay, vinified with care to preserve freshness, balance and aromatic clarity, while after tirage the wine ages on the lees for over 7 years, gaining complexity, texture and depth on the palate. Its long cellar ageing after dégorgement then guides the wine towards a mature, harmonious and layered profile, without losing tension and elegance.
In tasting, Spécial Club Réserve 2004 shows a brilliant golden colour and a fine, persistent perlage, opening with notes of dried fruit, toasted hazelnut, honey, candied citrus peel and delicate spicy nuances. On the palate it reveals breadth, velvety texture and great depth, supported by a refined balance between residual freshness and evolved complexity, with a long, mineral and perfectly harmonious finish.
