The Champagne Spécial Club by Gaston Chiquet interprets one of the Domaine’s most prestigious expressions, made from vineyards classified as Premier Cru and Grand Cru between Hautvillers, Dizy and Aÿ. These villages in the Vallée de la Marne help define a cuvée of great personality, where territorial depth, elegance and precision come together in a refined interpretation of the Chiquet family style.
This edition, Millésime 2016, comes from an assemblage composed of 70% Chardonnay grapes and 30% Pinot Noir. This balance highlights the luminous finesse of Chardonnay and the broader structure of Pinot Noir. Vinification carefully supports the natural expressiveness of the vintage, while after tirage the wine ages on the lees for over 7 years, developing complexity, aromatic maturity and lasting continuity on the palate. The final dosage, in Extra Brut style, preserves purity and definition.
In tasting, Spécial Club 2016 reveals a complex and harmonious profile, with notes of white flowers, ripe fruit, honey, pan brioche and light toasted nuances. On the palate, it shows a full and vibrant structure, supported by subtle minerality that brings energy, freshness and precision. The finish is long, sapid and elegant, with refined persistence that makes the tasting experience deep and rewarding.
