Soliste Chardonnay Millésime 2019
The Champagne Soliste Chardonnay 2019 by J-M Sélèque is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnaysourced from two singular parcels, the lieux-dits “Les Tartières” and “Les Porgeons”, planted in 1990 and 1995respectively. It comes from Pierry, a Premier Cru village in the Vallée de la Marne, where Chardonnay reveals tension and mineral finesse.
Vinification and fermentation take place in 500-liter oak barrels, following an approach that favors complexity and controlled oxygenation. After the tirage, the wine ages on its lees for over 42 months, developing depth and nuanced evolution. The low dosage of 2 g/l – Extra Brut enhances precision and emphasizes its territorial character.
On the palate, Soliste Chardonnay 2019 displays an intense and elegant profile: ultra-fine bubbles, aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers and chalky notes, supported by hints of dried fruit and delicate oak. The mouthfeel is tense, vertical, and persistent, with remarkable balance between vibrant acidity and creamy structure.
A production limited to only 2,100 bottles and 110 magnums, this cuvée stands as a true artisanal expression of Sélèque’s vision.
