The Champagne Cuvée de Réserve by Gaston Chiquet interprets the mature and gastronomic style of this historic vigneron from Dizy, offering a deeper expression than the Tradition cuvée. It is a Premier Cru Champagne born from the dialogue between Hautvillers, Dizy and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, villages in the Vallée de la Marne where Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir find balance between fruit, breadth and mineral tension.
This non-vintage edition is led by Meunier grapes, alongside Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, in an assemblage designed to enhance complexity, aromatic continuity and evolutionary depth. Vinification and fermentation take place in stainless steel, with malolactic fermentation completed, while after tirage the wine undergoes a long ageing on the lees that can exceed 5 years. The final dosage, in Brut style, accompanies the richness of the texture while preserving balance and precision.
In tasting, Cuvée de Réserve stands out for its broader and more mature profile, with notes of pear, yellow fruit, candied citrus, brioche, dried fruit and light toasted nuances. On the palate, it shows a creamy texture, enveloping yet well supported by freshness, with a savoury progression and a persistent finish. It is a harmonious and deep Champagne, ideal for those seeking a Premier Cru Brut capable of combining immediacy, maturity and territorial character.
