Coteaux Champenois Dehours & Fils
Blanc "Les Rieux" 2020
The Coteaux Champenois Blanc “Les Rieux” by Dehours is a still white wine made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from the eponymous Lieu-dit Les Rieux, a historic parcel of old vines located near Mareuil-le-Port. The grapes, harvested at the end of the 2020 vintage, were vinified and aged in oak barrels for approximately 30 months, a long and carefully measured process that preceded bottling without filtration in May 2023.
On tasting, Blanc Les Rieux 2020 shows an intense, finely chiselled profile with a pronounced mineral character. The nose reveals notes of ripe citrus fruits, yellow apple, white flowers and fresh almond, accompanied by a subtle chalky nuance. On the palate it is vibrant and linear, supported by a precise mineral tension that guides its evolution. The texture is fine yet energetic, with a saline, luminous persistence and citrus-driven returns that close on an elegant, deeply terroir-focused profile. Production is extremely limited, with just 1,833 bottles made.
