La Croix Joly - Réserve Perpétuelle
The Champagne La Croix Joly – Réserve Perpétuelle by Dehours is a Blanc de Noirs obtained from old Meunier vines grown in the eponymous Lieu-dit, located in the village of Troissy in the Vallée de la Marne. The vineyard, facing north-west and rooted in a clay-sand soil with a limestone base, yields grapes of great tension, depth and territorial character.
This edition, based on the 2021 harvest, incorporates a portion of the Réserve Perpétuelle started in 2013, which enriches the structure of the cuvée with stylistic continuity and aromatic complexity. Vinification and maturation take place in fût de chêne, following an artisanal approach that prioritises precision and transparency. The minimal dosage of 1.1 g/l, in Extra Brut style, underscores the essential nature of the cuvée and allows the terroir to express itself fully.
In tasting, La Croix Joly shows a bright golden yellow colour, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose it opens with a complex bouquet rich in notes of ripe yellow fruit, dried flowers, toasted almond and delicate sweet spices. On the palate it is full, precise and dynamic, supported by vibrant minerality and a sapid persistence that enhances elegance and depth. Production is limited, with only 1,476 bottles.
