Blanc "Les Pucelles" 2020
The Coteaux Champenois Blanc “Les Pucelles” by Manon Boutillez-Guer is a still white wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from the eponymous single parcel located near Villers-Marmery, a Premier Cru village in the Montagne de Reims. “Les Pucelles” is born from an essential and respectful approach, free of compromise and artifice, aiming to express the chalky purity of the terroir and the sincerity of a sunny, harmonious vintage. It represents the most intimate and artisanal expression of Manon Boutillez-Guer’s style, combining precision, sensitivity, and a deep connection to the land. Harvested in 2020, it is vinified in stainless steel and aged for 12 months before bottling, with a limited production of only 570 bottles.
On the palate, Blanc “Les Pucelles” shows a pale, bright golden hue. The nose is delicate and complex, revealing aromas of white flowers, citrus, and wet stone, alongside hints of white-fleshed fruit and subtle smoky undertones. The palate is taut and vertical, marked by lively freshness and incisive minerality, leading to a long, savory finish that highlights its crystalline elegance.
