The story of Champagne Pierre Paillard begins in Bouzy, a village in the Montagne de Reims, where the family settled at the beginning of the 18th century. In 1768, ancestor Antoine Paillard acquired the first plots of vines, giving rise to a winemaking tradition passed down through the generations. Since 1946, the wines have been marketed under the family name, while today brothers Antoine and Quentin Paillard, the eighth generation, lead the Domaine with a shared vision, taking up the baton from their father Benoît and carrying forward a legacy spanning more than two centuries.

The beating heart of the Domaine lies in Bouzy itself, one of the seventeen villages classified as Grands Crus, renowned for its south-facing slopes on the Montagne de Reims. The deep chalk and clay subsoils give rise to wines of intense yet elegant character. In the cellar, vinification is parcel-by-parcel and meticulous, carried out in oak barrels with natural fermentations and long ageing on the lees — a faithful expression of an identity that combines respect for tradition with the pursuit of utmost purity.

The Domaine extends over around eleven hectares divided into some thirty parcels, planted mainly with Pinot Noir and complemented by Chardonnay, with vines averaging about thirty years of age and a few historic plots dating back to the 1930s. Beyond Bouzy, the family also tends vines in the Grands Crus of Ambonnay, Verzy and Verzenay, and in the Premiers Crus of Ludes and Taissy. Farming has been certified organic since 2020, with soil-friendly practices and precision viticulture, producing Champagnes that sincerely reflect their terroir and the genuine elegance of a family tradition spanning more than two centuries.
