Champagne Nowack
Tuilerie
The Champagne Tuilerie from Domaine Nowack is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, originating from the eponymous Lieu-Dit near Vandières, in the Vallée de la Marne. The vineyard, around 60 years old, lies on calcareous and sandy soils with marl presence and is farmed in harmony with natural cycles, using plant-based preparations, gentle soil work, and permanent cover crops, within a living ecosystem that promotes biodiversity and balance.
This edition, 2020 vintage, is crafted through vinification and fermentation entirely in oak barrels, with a maturation of about 8 months, following Flavien Nowack’s artisanal approach. After bottling with a cork closure, the wine ages for over 40 months on the lees. The final dosage of 1.5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances purity and authenticity, defining a cuvée of intensity and strong personality.
On the palate, Tuilerie reveals notes of ripe citrus, white fruit, and delicate floral hints, enriched by nuances of hazelnut and mineral tones. It stands out for its tension and drive, supported by a creamy texture and a long, savory finish that highlights its elegance and precision.
