In Troissy-Bouquigny, in the Vallée de la Marne, Champagne Alexis Leconte was founded in 2015 from the ambitious project of Alexis, sixth generation of the Champagne Xavier Leconte family. The vineyards of Champagne Alexis Leconte consist of small plots spread across the villages of Troissy, Dormans, Mareuil-le-Port, Vandières and Aÿ: Meunier is mainly located in Troissy, while Pinot Noir is found in Aÿ.

Alexis manages vineyard work with meticulous care, applying the principles of biodynamic agriculture, including the integration of lunar cycles both in the vineyard and in the cellar during vinification. The aim is to preserve the soil and obtain healthy grapes to produce wines that express the terroir, capturing the richness and complexity of each lieu-dit. For this reason, Alexis adopts parcel-by-parcel vinification.

In the cellar, fermentation takes place in oak barrels and/or in special terracotta amphorae; spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts are favored, and any intervention in the subsequent stages is kept to a minimum. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out, and dosage is minimal, if not zero. Complexity, consistency, depth and harmony define the Champagnes of Alexis Leconte, a producer that stands out as one of the most promising among the new generation of Vignerons in the region.
