Champagne Nowack
S.A. "Sans Année" Magnum
The Champagne S.A. “Sans Année” by Domaine Nowack comes from the area around Vandières, in the Vallée de la Marne, as an authentic, artisanal expression of its territory. This assemblage of Meunier and Chardonnay grapes, from vineyards on fossil-rich limestone soils, reflects the identity of an area with a long winegrowing tradition, interpreted through careful viticulture and a sensitive approach that respects the natural balance.
This magnum edition, based on the 2021 harvest, includes 25% vin de réserve drawn from a réserve perpétuelle that brings together the vintages from 2012 to 2020, adding depth and complexity to the whole. Vinification and fermentation take place spontaneously in stainless steel and in fût de chêne, following a natural, minimal approach that lets the fruit and the terroir express themselves fully. The tirage is followed by more than 42 months of ageing on the lees. The final dosage of 1 g/l, in Extra Brut style, enhances the purity and precision of the wine, keeping its identity intact while gracefully supporting the evolution it has reached.
On tasting, S.A. “Sans Année” shows a bright golden colour and a fine, persistent perlage. On the palate, notes of ripe yellow fruit, citrus and dried fruit emerge, with light spicy and mineral nuances. The structure is vibrant and well defined, carried by incisive freshness and a mineral tension that brings out its elegance, leading to a long, savoury, slightly smoky finish.
