The Coteaux Champenois Blanc 2019 by Les Frères Mignon is a rare and precious expression of the Côte des Blancs, crafted from 100% Chardonnay grown on a single Grand Cru vineyard located near the village of Avize. This historic parcel, planted in 1968 from massal selection, lies on limestone soil that imparts the wine with verticality and mineral-driven tension.
The vinification follows a craft-focused approach, fully respectful of the terroir’s identity: the must ferments and ages for around 26 months in 500-litre barrels, allowing for slow evolution and a perfect balance between fruit, acidity, and structure. No stainless steel, no technical shortcuts—every step is designed to enhance the purity of its origin.
On the palate, this Coteaux Champenois Blanc reveals a deep and vibrant profile, marked by notes of candied citrus, flint, and toasted hazelnut. The texture is broad yet precise, with a chalky tension leading to a long, savoury, and finely chiselled finish. Only 600 bottles produced: a tribute to patience and finesse.
