The Coteaux Champenois Chardonnay Bourdon 2019 by Laculle Frères is a still white wine produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Lieu-Dit “Bourdon”, an old vineyard located in the village of Chervey, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. This terroir is characterized by clay-limestone soils, which give the wine a distinctive minerality and complexity.
Vinification involves fermentation and maturation in fût de chêne for over 10 months; this process helps to develop the wine’s structure and elegance, enhancing the characteristics of the terroir.
Upon tasting, Chardonnay Bourdon 2019 presents a pale yellow color with white-gold reflections. On the nose, it offers a refined and elegant bouquet, with notes of mirabelle plum, ripe yellow citrus fruits, and white flowers, accompanied by toasty aromas of fresh bread and spicy nuances of vanilla and white pepper. On the palate, it combines elegant vinosity with lively freshness, delivering a long and harmonious finish.
