Grand Vintage Magnum 2015
The Champagne Grand Vintage 2015 by Boizel is the original expression of a memorable harvest, combining strengthand refinement. The cuvée is crafted from a meticulous selection of grapes with the potential to deliver finesse and remarkable longevity. The blend is composed of 60% Pinot Noir, mainly sourced from the renowned vineyards of Mailly, Ambonnay, and Cumières in the Montagne de Reims, and 40% Chardonnay from the prestigious crus of Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, and Chouilly, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.
For the vinification, the Maison exclusively uses first-press musts, with fermentations carried out under the utmost delicacy to preserve varietal purity. After the tirage, the wine matures for more than 8 years on the lees, gaining in complexity and harmony. The final dosage, below 4 g/l (Extra Brut), is carefully calibrated to highlight the natural freshness and authentic character of the vintage.
On the palate, Grand Vintage 2015 reveals a radiant golden hue, enlivened by a fine and persistent effervescence. The bouquet is complex and elegant, with aromas of white peach, pear, white flowers, and hawthorn, enriched by notes of fresh brioche and toasted hazelnuts. The creamy texture and refreshing vibrancy unfold into flavors of apricot, mango, honey, and toasted bread; a delicate minerality adds depth, while the lingering finish delivers perfect balance, freshness, and elegance.
