Cuvée 200 Magnum 2015
The Champagne Cuvée 200 Millésime 2015 by Joseph Perrier is an exceptional edition created to celebrate the bicentenary of the Maison (1825–2025) — a symbol of two centuries of history, passion, and savoir-faire. Born from the vision of Jean-Claude Fourmon and crafted in collaboration with Benjamin Fourmon, the sixth generation at the head of the Maison, this cuvée represents a symbolic gesture of family transmission and continuity through time. It is a tribute to the terroir and to the art of Champagne, a wine conceived to endure and to tell, through its purity and complexity, the very soul of Joseph Perrier.
A blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, the Cuvée 200 originates from the Grand Crus of Chouilly and Ambonnay and the Premier Cru of Cumières, meticulously selected by chef de cave Nathalie Laplaige. After 96 months of ageing on the lees in the historic cellars of Châlons-en-Champagne and with a dosage of 3 g/l, it reveals itself as an Extra Brut of remarkable precision and depth. Produced in only 2,000 magnums and 1,500 jeroboams, each bottle is individually numbered, testifying to its exclusivity.
On tasting, Cuvée 200 Millésime 2015 reveals a pale golden hue, bright and refined — a sign of maturity and purity. The nose is complex and generous, with mineral and chalky notes that reflect the terroir, followed by spring floral aromas and gourmet hints of dried plum. On the palate, it stands out for its rich, enveloping texture, revealing subtle honeyed nuances, then flavours of raspberry, blackcurrant, citrus, and tropical fruits, with a predominance of lychee. The finish reveals floral notes of lilac and lily, accompanied by a mentholated freshness that brings exceptional length.
