The Champagne Aure by Aurore Casanova is the cuvée that opens the Domaine’s range and sums up its identity, bringing together in a single blend the three terroirs farmed across the Montagne de Reims, the Côte des Blancs and the Vallée de la Marne. The Grand Cru of Puisieulx, one of the smallest in Champagne, with its silts resting on hard limestone, joins the chalky plots of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oger and the vineyards of Champvoisy, offering a complete and immediate portrait of its winemaking philosophy.

This edition, based on the 2022 harvest and completed by around one third vin de réserve, features a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes in equal parts, completed by 10% Meunier. Vinification and fermentation take place with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks, where the wine matures for eight months without fining or filtration, and after tirage comes ageing on the lees for around 36 months, while the low final dosage, in Extra Brut style, rounds out the texture without taking away freshness.

In tasting, Aure shows a golden-yellow hue and a fine, lively perlage, with aromas of apple, pear and pale citrus joined by notes of brioche, toasted bread and white flowers. On the palate the delicate mousse gives an almost creamy texture, supported by a clear freshness that keeps the wine precise and flowing, in balance between fruit and pastry notes, with a slender yet well-defined structure that carries the development through to a clean, saline finish of good persistence.
