The Champagne Particules Crayeuses by Waris-Larmandier originates from the Grand Cru villages of Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs, and represents a luminous interpretation of Chardonnay grown on chalky soils. The name itself refers to the nature of the chalk, a defining element that gives the wine tension, finesse, and a marked mineral character, in line with the Domaine’s precise and contemporary style.
This Blanc de Blancs cuvée develops through vinification and fermentation focused on expressive purity, followed by lees ageing that builds complexity and depth while maintaining balance and freshness, while the final dosage of 5 g/l, in Extra Brut style, supports the wine with restraint, enhancing its coherence and definition.
On the palate, Particules Crayeuses stands out for its elegant and layered profile, with notes of almond, citrus, and iodized hints, accompanied by nuances of lemongrass, dried apricot, and fresh butter. The structure is harmonious and enveloping, supported by precise freshness that leads to a long, mineral, and persistent finish.
