Les Aventures 2018
The Champagne Les Aventures by Waris-Larmandier is a Blanc de Blancs of great refinement, produced in extremely limited quantities and only in the finest vintages. It comes from a single parcel located in Chouilly, a Grand Cru village in the heart of the CĂ´te des Blancs, where outcropping chalk soils help shape a profile of deep minerality, textural richness, and natural elegance.
This edition, Millésime 2018, is vinified according to an artisanal approach that respects the identity of the place. First-press juices ferment in oak barrels with indigenous yeasts, and after bottling the wine ages on the lees for at least seven years, allowing it to develop structure and complexity without losing expressive precision. The absence of any final dosage, in Brut Nature style, underscores the maison’s intent to offer a pure, crystalline expression of the terroir, free from any aromatic artifice.
In tasting, Les Aventures 2018 reveals a deep and layered profile. On the nose, notes of ripe citrus, chalk, white flowers, and subtle toasted nuances emerge, accompanied by iodine and mineral accents. On the palate, the wine is taut and precise, supported by a fine texture and compact substance, with a saline progression that carries through to a long, vibrant, and exceptionally persistent finish, built on a balance of energy, finesse, and verticality.
Production is extremely limited, with only 480 bottles made.
