The Champagne Chetillon de Haut 2015 by Waris-Larmandier is a Blanc de Blancs crafted exclusively from Chardonnay sourced from the lieu-dit “Chetillon de Haut”, located in the prestigious Grand Cru of Mesnil-sur-Oger. The parcel, planted in three different stages (1955, 1960 and 1990), enriches the collection of lieux-dits cultivated by the Waris-Larmandier family, expressing unique depth and complexity.
Vinification and maturation take place in wooden barrels, with an approach that respects both the fruit and the terroir. After tirage, the wine undergoes a long aging of at least 5 years on the lees, which contributes to developing balance, elegance, and structure. The style remains pure and authentic thanks to the absence of dosage (Brut Nature), enhancing the freshness of Chardonnay and the mineral soul of this Grand Cru.
On tasting, Chetillon de Haut 2015 reveals a tense and mineral profile, with a bouquet ranging from ripe citrus notesto elegant hints of pastry and dried fruit. On the palate it is precise, vibrant, and persistent, capable of combining energy and refinement in a harmony of great finesse.
