Champagne Waris-Larmandier

Particules Crayeuses

Champagne "Particules Crayeuses" by Waris-Larmandier is the result of 100% Chardonnay from grapes of five Grands Crus of the CĂ´te des Blancs: Avize, Chouilly, Cramant, Oger and Mesnil-sur-Oger. The chalky soils, hence the name "Particules Crayeuses" give particular freshness and minerality to this Blanc de Blancs: on the nose its bouquet evokes almond, iodized tones predominate with a touch of lemongrass and chalk accompanied by a bouquet of almond, dried apricot and fresh butter. The palate recalls softness thanks to the discreet dosage (5 g/l) with flavors of sweet almond.

Waris-Larmandier

Champagne Waris-Larmandier is a story of a sixth generation family of winemakers from Avize, in the Côte Des Blancs. The Domaine founded in 1989 by Marie-Hélène and Vincent Waris was administered by Marie-Hélène for a long time after the untimely death of her husband. Today the Domaine is managed together with the three children Jean-Philippe, Pierre-Louis and Inès who have brought a breath of modernity to the production and winemaking choices.


The 6ha vineyard divided into 34 parcels extends from the best terroirs of the CĂ´te des Blancs to the Aube, passing through Chamery, a Premier cru village in the Montagne de Reims, cultivated with Pinot Noir. The agricultural and cellar techniques are based on the principles of biodynamics, with the aim of moving towards an increasingly sustainable and integrated production in the territory (The Domaine is Ecocert and Demeter certified).


Waris-Larmandier Champagnes have rediscovered a distinct and original personality and that identity character reflex also of the extraordinary terroir of the Grand Cru of Avize.
