Les Vignes de Germinon 2021
The Champagne Les Vignes de Germinon by Domaine Vincey is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, sourced from a single old vineyard planted in 1964 and named “Germinon”, located near the village of Chouilly, a Grand Cru in the prestigious Côte des Blancs. This historic vineyard represents a rare heritage, capable of giving Chardonnay depth, elegance, and a strong territorial identity.
The 2021 harvest was vinified and matured for 11 months in fût de chêne, without undergoing malolactic fermentation, clarification, or filtration—fully aligned with the artisanal and natural philosophy of the vigneron. After tirage, the wine aged for over 36 months on the lees, sealed with traditional bouchons liège (natural cork with staple). The absence of dosage – Brut Nature – underscores the purity and stylistic precision of the Domaine.
On the palate, Les Vignes de Germinon stands out with a structured and vibrant profile, offering aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers, dried fruit, and delicate hints of chalk and fine spices. The mouthfeel is tense and complex, driven by a marked minerality, with a long, saline, and elegant persistence—a true expression of the Chouilly terroirand the refinement of Domaine Vincey.
Produced in a limited edition of only 2,334 bottles.
