Champagne Rousseaux-Batteux
Les Echaudées
The Champagne Les Echaudées by Rousseaux-Batteux is a Blanc de Noirs from 100% Meunier, sourced from old vines in the namesake lieu-dit, planted by Adrien Rousseaux’s father between 1981 and 1983 in the village of Celles-lès-Condé, in the Montagne de Reims. This historic vineyard yields a rich and distinctive character, deeply rooted in family tradition and the identity of its terroir.
An expression of the single 2022 harvest, this Blanc de Meunier is vinified in fût de chêne and matures on its lees for a minimum of 15 months before disgorgement. The final dosage, under 3 g/l, defines its Extra Brut style, enhancing the balance between roundness and freshness.
On the palate, Les Echaudées offers an intense bouquet of crisp red fruits, plum, and hints of dried fruit, enriched by delicate nuances of sweet spices and toasty notes. The palate is round and enveloping, with a creamy texture balanced by subtle citrus freshness. The finish is long and flavourful, echoing its gourmandise and a refined minerality.
