Blanc de la Montagne
The Champagne Blanc de la Montagne by Rémi Georgeton is an elegant and refined Blanc de Blancs, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes sourced from the Premier Cru villages of Ludes and Chigny-Les-Roses. The 2022 vintage underwent aging in large oak barrels, which imparted a unique depth and complexity to the wine. The wood winemaking techniques, along with the use of indigenous yeasts and spontaneous malolactic fermentation, showcase full control over the material and the producer’s expertise. The wine undergoes no filtration or fining, maintaining its natural characteristics. After disgorging, it remains on its lees for at least 24 months, with a final dosage of less than 3 g/l, resulting in an Extra Brut of profound elegance.
In tasting, Blanc de la Montagne presents a pale yellow color, enriched with golden highlights and fine and persistentbubbles. On the nose, it expresses delicate toasted notes, intertwined with aromas of soft red fruit, crunchy Asian pear, and a distinctive mineral hint, revealing the wine’s complexity. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance between freshness, structure, and a subtle richness, with red fruit notes that provide vivacity, while the mineral nuances and light toasting add refinement and elegance.
