Les Beaux Regards 2022
The Champagne Les Beaux Regards by BĂ©rĂŞche & Fils is a Blanc de Blancs that bears the name of the lieu-dit from which it comes, on the northern face of the Montagne de Reims, in the Premier Cru village of Ludes. On soils of clay, limestone and flint grow old Chardonnay vines, the expression of a careful, respectful and patient viticulture that seeks the most authentic and transparent reading of the terroir.
This edition, Vintage 2022, takes shape through vinification and fermentation carried out in oak barrels, following an artisanal approach that favours naturalness, patience and full fidelity to the fruit and to its place of origin. After the tirage comes an ageing of at least 36 months on the lees under a natural cork closure, a choice that amplifies its finesse and ageing potential, while the reduced dosage of just 2 g/l defines a taut, sharp profile in Extra Brut style.
On tasting, Les Beaux Regards 2022 reveals itself luminous and vertical, with a chiselled, precise attack in which citrus and delicate floral notes intertwine with a chalky breath of great finesse, tension and clarity. On the palate the structure appears slender and vibrant, sustained by a persistent saline backbone and a taut, continuous freshness that carry through a long progression toward a deeply mineral finish of rare expressive and aromatic precision. Production in a limited run of 4,300 bottles.
