The Champagne Les Copins by Pierre Deville emerges as an identity-driven interpretation of the vineyards of Verzy, one of the most distinguished Grand Crus of the Montagne de Reims. This cuvée expresses the desire to convey the natural harmony between Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, rendered through a style that is essential, sincere, and deeply connected to its landscape of origin.

This edition, vintage 2020, is crafted from a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, sourced from old vines rooted in chalky and clay-limestone soils. Winemaking includes spontaneous fermentations and maturation in fût de chêne, following the artisanal approach that defines the Alban Corbeaux. After bottling, the wine rests on its lees for at least 30 months before a dégorgement carried out without compromise on purity: the final dosage, below 2 g/l, shapes an Extra Brut style that enhances verticality, precision, and expressive clarity.

On the palate, Les Copins opens with bright aromas of ripe citrus, white flowers, and delicate pastry notes, enriched by spicy and fruity nuances from the Pinot Noir. The palate shows a fine yet energetic structure, supported by taut acidity and the chalk-driven minerality typical of Verzy. The interplay of freshness, depth, and precision leads to a persistent, clean, and elegant finish marked by refined saline and fruity echoes.
