Champagne Pierre Deville
Rosé de Macération
The Champagne Rosé de Macération by Pierre Deville comes from the Lieu-Dit La Blanche Voie, a historic parcel located in the Grand Cru of Verzy and characterized by chalky and clay-limestone soils that give Pinot Noir energy, verticality, and a particularly sharp mineral tension. Alban Cobeaux’s project remains faithful to an artisanal, essential style deeply connected to the territory, with the aim of delivering an authentic and sincere rosé.
This edition, vintage 2022, undergoes a skin maceration of about 12 hours, carried out with great precision to obtain color, structure, and aromatic complexity without sacrificing elegance. Fermentations occur spontaneously and maturation continues in fût de chêne, according to the vigneron’s artisanal approach. After tirage, the wine ages for at least 18 months on the lees before a disgorgement performed with a very low dosage in Extra Brut style, consistent with the Domaine’s pure and transparent identity.
On the palate, Rosé de Macération – La Blanche Voie reveals clear aromas of small red fruits, citrus, pomegranate, and floral nuances. The palate shows incisive freshness, fine texture, and marked salinity that gives momentum and precision. The finish is vibrant, persistent, and perfectly aligned with the minerality of the Verzy terroir.
