Champagne Jacques Rousseaux
Cuvée de Réserve
The Champagne Cuvée de Réserve by Jacques Rousseaux is an elegant expression of the terroir of Verzenay, a prestigious Grand Cru of the Montagne de Reims. It comes from a blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay grapes selected from the best vineyards in the Domaine. The vintage base is 2019, with the cuvée obtained exclusively from the first pressing (tête de cuvée), to which vin de réserve is added to guarantee complexity and depth. Vinification takes place in stainless steel, followed by a maturation of around 36 months on the lees. The final dosage is less than 4 g/l, making it an Extra Brut, to maximise the purity of the fruit and the minerality of the terroir.
Cuvée de Réserve has a brilliant straw yellow colour, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it reveals a harmonious bouquet, in which fruity and floral notes intertwine with delicate hints of bread crust and pastries. On the palate it is fragrant, fresh and mineral, with an elegant, flowing mouthfeel that combines structure and refinement in perfect balance.
