The Champagne Prémices by Jules Brochet is born from the harmonious meeting of two distinctive terroirs: the Lutetian limestones of the Vallée de la Marne and the Campanian chalk of the Montagne de Reims. This dual geological matrix shapes an identity defined by finesse, natural balance, and subtle minerality. The grapes come from vineyards farmed according to soil-respecting agricultural practices, focused on preserving microbiological vitality and the overall balance of the ecosystem, in line with the producer’s artisanal vision.

This edition, base vintage 2022, is crafted from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay, enriched with 20% réserve perpétuelle, an element that introduces a sense of gustatory continuity across vintages. The artisanal vinification follows spontaneous fermentation, with no fining or filtration, and a final dosage of 2 g/l, resulting in an Extra Brut of clarity and coherence, aimed at maximum expressive transparency.

In tasting, Prémices reveals an elegant, restrained profile: on the nose, notes of ripe white fruit, citrus, and delicate hints of red fruit emerge, accompanied by nuances of sweet almond and mineral accents. On the palate it is fresh and lively, supported by a fine mousse, with well-integrated salinity and a long, precise persistence. The finish, lightly bitter-edged, adds depth and definition, reinforcing the wine’s clear territorial expression. Limited and numbered production of just 7,863 bottles.
