The Champagne Autochtone by Jules Brochet is conceived as an identity-driven, terroir-focused expression of the Montagne de Reims, aiming to convey an authentic reading of Pinot Noir as a grape variety historically rooted in this context. The grapes come from Grand Cru–classified vineyards, farmed according to agricultural practices attentive to soil vitality and overall ecosystem balance, in line with the artisanal vision of Pierric Brochet. The Autochtone project reflects a pursuit of expressive transparency, precision, and fidelity to origin, free from stylistic excess.

This edition draws its substance from a multi-vintage solera, designed to build expressive continuity, depth, and complexity over time while preserving the clarity of its territorial imprint. Vinification takes place through spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, without fining or filtration, guiding the wine along a path of maximum naturalness. The absence of final dosage, in Brut Nature style, completes an essential and rigorous approach, aimed at the fullest possible legibility of the terroir.

In tasting, Autochtone reveals a taut and disciplined profile, marked by clear minerality and a distinctly vertical structure. On the palate, restrained fruit notes emerge alongside subtle spicy nuances and a saline component that accompanies the wine’s development with ease. The structure is firm and well integrated, the finish long and coherent, supported by a natural balance that enhances the expression of Pinot Noir in a dry, deeply territorial key.
