Champagne Boizel
Joyau 2008
The Champagne Joyau 2008 by Boizel embodies the quintessence of the House’s savoir-faire and the authentic expression of the great Champagne terroirs. The cuvée is crafted from an exclusive selection of grapes from Premiersand Grands Crus: 60% Pinot Noir sourced from the prestigious vineyards of Mailly, Cumières, and Chigny-les-Roses, and 40% Chardonnay from the emblematic villages of the Côte des Blancs, including Avize, Chouilly, and Vertus.
For the vinification, only first-press juice is used, handled with the utmost care to preserve the purity of the fruit. A small proportion, about 10%, is vinified in oak, adding structure and greater complexity. After the tirage, the wine matures for more than 15 years on the lees, gaining depth, harmony, and elegance. The final dosage of just 3 g/l (Extra Brut) is precisely calibrated to highlight the freshness and character of the vintage, in full alignment with the Maison’s stylistic philosophy.
On tasting, Joyau 2008 displays a brilliant golden hue, illuminated by an extremely fine and persistent effervescence. The bouquet is broad and elegant, with aromas of almond, frangipane, candied orange peel, and fragrant brioche. On the palate it reveals complexity and intensity, supported by a silky texture and remarkable refinement. Subtle pastry notes return with consistency, weaving together richness and delicacy, before culminating in a long, fresh, and luminous finish, signed by a perfect mineral persistence.
