Les Vozémieux 2018
The Champagne Les Vozémieux 2018 by Robert Moncuit is a Blanc de Blancs of pure elegance, made from 100% Chardonnay grapes sourced from the eponymous Lieu-dit located in Oger, a Grand Cru in the Côte des Blancs. This parcel, with its fine and luminous chalky soils, expresses with remarkable precision the mineral tension and delicacy that define the finest terroirs of the area.
Vinification takes place entirely in fût de chêne, where the wine matures for ten months, developing depth and harmony while retaining its freshness. After tirage, it rests for over sixty months on the lees, gaining complexity and finesse. With no final dosage (0 g/l), in Extra Brut style, it highlights the crystalline purity and transparent expression of Chardonnay.
On the palate, Les Vozémieux 2018 appears golden and bright, animated by a fine and consistent perlage. The bouquet reveals notes of candied citrus, white flowers, hazelnut, and a hint of toasted brioche. The mouthfeel is broad and finely sculpted, with vibrant freshness supporting an elegant and persistent mineral texture, culminating in a finish of great balance and precision.
