Spécial Club 2016
The Champagne Spécial Club 2015 by Pierre Gimonnet is a Blanc de Blancs of great elegance, made exclusively from rigorously selected Chardonnay. 85% of the grapes come from old Grand Cru vines located in Cramant and Chouilly, while the remaining 15% is sourced from Premier Cru vineyards in Cuis, giving the wine a balance between richness and tension.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel, a choice that best preserves the aromatic purity and varietal identity of the Chardonnay. After tirage, the cuvée ages for over 90 months on the lees, a long period that shapes the structure and enhances the complexity of the wine’s flavour profile. The low dosage of 3 g/l, in Extra Brut style, allows the vintage and terroir to fully express themselves.
On the palate, Spécial Club 2016 stands out for its fine and creamy texture, with aromas of candied citrus, toasted almond, and chalk, all merging in a deep, vibrant, and precise sip. A Blanc de Blancs Champagne with a classic and radiant personality, perfectly reflecting the Gimonnet signature.
