The Champagne Millésime de Collection 2014 by Pierre Gimonnet is an oenological excellence, an authentic expression of the terroir of the Côte des Blancs. Obtained exclusively from Chardonnay grapes selected from old vines located in prestigious Premier and Grand Cru vineyards, this Champagne Blanc de Blancs reflects an extraordinary harmony between terroir, tradition and craftsmanship.
The cuvée is composed of a meticulous blend of terroirs: 59% Cramant, which gives structure and minerality, 25% Chouilly, which adds roundness and fruit, and 16% Cuis, which contributes freshness and liveliness. After a long maturation of over 84 months on the lees, the wine develops a unique complexity, enhanced by a fine and persistent bubble. The Extra Brut dosage of only 4 g/l enhances the purity of the fruit and the freshness of the terroir, without masking its natural elegance.
While tasting, Millésime de Collection 2014 offers an extraordinary finesse and a perfect balance between matter and delicacy. On the nose it releases aromas of ripe citrus, green apple and dried fruit notes, accompanied by mineral nuances and a subtle toastiness. On the palate it is vibrant, elegant and long, with a persistence that reveals intense savouriness and refined complexity.
