The Champagne S.A. "Sans Année" from Domaine Nowack originates in the surroundings of Vandières, in the Vallée de la Marne, as an authentic and artisanal expression of the terroir. This blend of Meunier and Chardonnay, sourced from vineyards on fossil-rich limestone soils, reflects the identity of a historically renowned area, interpreted through attentive viticulture and a mindful approach to natural balance.

This magnum edition, base vintage 2020, is enriched by 25% réserve perpétuelle from the 2012–2019 vintages, bringing depth and complexity. Vinification and fermentation take place with spontaneous fermentations in stainless steel and oak barrels, following a natural and minimal approach. After bottling, the wine ages for over 48 months on the lees, and the absence of final dosage at disgorgement, in Brut Nature style, enhances purity and freshness without compromise.

On the palate, S.A. "Sans Année" shows a bright golden color with a fine and persistent perlage. It reveals notes of ripe yellow fruit, citrus, dried fruit, and delicate spicy and mineral nuances. The structure is vibrant and well-defined, supported by incisive freshness and mineral tension that enhances its elegance, leading to a long, savory, and slightly smoky finish.

Founded in 1795 in the village of Vandières, in the Vallée de la Marne, Domaine Nowack has been run since 2011 by Flavien Nowack, who grew up among the family’s vines and trained with experience in Burgundy, including a period in Meursault at Coche-Dury. Today, he is regarded as one of the most interesting voices of the new generation of Champagne vignerons.

His winemaking philosophy focuses on single-parcel vinifications (Lieu-dit), with separate fermentations and maturations to highlight the nuances of each terroir. In the vineyard, he follows an organic approach, with no chaptalisation or malolactic fermentation, and uses indigenous yeasts for the prise de mousse. A distinctive feature is the use of unfermented grape must for the second fermentation, resulting in slightly lower bottle pressure and a marked silky vinosity.

Alongside the Lieu-dit range, Flavien has created the "Cru d’Origine" line, dedicated to exploring individual villages, using both estate-grown fruit and grapes from selected organic growers. The first edition was dedicated to his native village of Vandières. A young talent with a clear vision, Flavien combines technical precision, respect for nature, and a quest for the purest expression of terroir.
